I have spent most of my life in fear and doubt. While on my own path to healing, I reconnected with the talents I believe Creator has endowed unto me that empower my personal voice. I believe these talents provide me with the ability to tackle my fears head on—not in silence. Through my art and writing I want to shed light on the difficulties our government and society has manufactured that make healing and justice more difficult to obtain for child sexual abuse (CSA) survivors, and I hope my work inspires other survivors to believe in themselves as well.

My experience includes:

• Over 5 years in Grants, including grant administration, grant writing & grant direct services delivery. During my last year writing grants, I helped the Tribal organization I worked for obtain nearly $13 million in State, Federal & Private Foundation funding while managing the grant administration for over 20 active grants.

• Three years as a Teen Librarian, leading over 50 public programs to the public library in Duluth, Georgia. Each program had clear Learning Objectives and fell within identified community needs/foundational literacies.

• Led or co-led over 20 Quest, Persuade, Refer (QPR) suicide prevention trainings to the public and/or health professionals.

• Helped develop a toolkit to guide programming in a public library setting and train the implementation of the toolkit for a 15-branch library system.

My Education consists of:

• BA in English from Cal Poly Humboldt (formerly Humboldt State University)

• AA in Humanities from College of the Redwoods

• Professional Certificate in Grant Writing from San Diego State University

• Certified as a QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Trainer.
